How we work with patient safety

How we work with patient safety

Patient safety is about preventing harm and ensuring safe and reliable healthcare processes for our patients. At Testmottagningen.se, we work systematically to identify risks, follow up on incidents and continuously improve our ways of working.

Quick version

Systematic quality management

We follow a structured management system for quality and patient safety in accordance with Swedish healthcare regulations, including SOSFS 2011:9. This includes regular:

  • risk assessments

  • internal reviews and quality controls

  • follow-up of incidents and patient feedback

  • improvement initiatives

  • internal quality monitoring

Incident management and continuous improvement

All employees are required to report incidents, near misses and patient feedback. Reported cases are reviewed promptly and used as part of our continuous improvement efforts to strengthen quality and patient safety.

Follow-up of abnormal findings

We have clear medical guidelines for how abnormal blood test results and radiological findings should be managed. When needed, patients are contacted directly and guided to the appropriate level of care.

Critical findings are handled promptly according to established medical procedures.

Patient safety report

Each year, we prepare a patient safety report summarizing our work with quality and patient safety, including identified risks, implemented measures and areas for continued improvement.
