Information

Allergy Test Plus is a comprehensive allergy test that contains some of the most common allergens that can cause food or airborne allergies. The test is recommended for those who suspect that you suffer from an allergy but do not really know which allergen(s) your body reacts to.

Detailed test results for each allergen

The test results are reported for each allergen (allergy marker) included in the allergy test. The allergy test should not be confused with commonly occurring allergy panels where you do not see which specific allergen you may have a hypersensitivity to, are allergic to.

The allergy test is based on a blood sample that is analyzed in order to identify a possible allergy to fur animals, pollen, common foods and legumes such as peanuts. Provided you experience symptoms that can be related to such an allergy, such as runny nose, sneezing, cough, asthma or skin rash, the allergy panel can demonstrate whether your levels of IgE antibodies are elevated and indicate a possible allergy.

Please read more about the respective allergen and IgE antibodies under the markers below to gain more insight into what is analyzed and commonly occurring symptoms that a specific allergen can cause.

It is important to note that an allergy test cannot detect or rule out an allergy 100%, the analysis can be used as a supplement to your possible symptoms and disease picture.

Allergens from animals are some of the most common allergens that cause allergic reactions. The reason for the reaction is that allergen is secreted from the animal's skin cells, saliva, urine and the sebaceous glands, which cause the body's immune system to react.
