Do you suspect that you have a food allergy? Test yourself with us, the allergy test measures 38 allergens that cover 95% of the most common allergies in Europe. In addition to receiving answers as to whether you are allergic to any food, the allergy test also shows any allergies to mold, pollen, mites and fur animals.
Here's how it works: The test is performed by our staff at the reception and takes place through capillary sampling (stick in the finger) where we take out a couple of blood drops.
Test answer: You normally have an answer within 15 working days after our lab received your test. The test answer is sent digitally to your e-mail. Together with your test answer, you will receive a detailed report in English about your values.
Things to keep in mind: It is important that you have been exposed to the tested substances included within the last three months, if they have been used for a long time there is a risk that it will not have an equally strong effect on the test result.
Do you suspect that you have some form of allergy but have difficulty putting your finger on what? Sometimes it can be difficult to determine for yourself if the allergy symptoms you experience are due to something in the food or if it e.g. is against pollen or fur animals. With the Allergy Test, you get answers to what you possibly. may be allergic to. It is important that you have been exposed to the tested substances included within the last three months, if it has been longer there is a risk that it will not have an equally strong effect on the test result.
Allergy is a reaction from the body's immune system to substances that are actually harmless. The body then produces IgE antibodies that activate substances that release histamines and other inflammatory molecules, which leads to inflammation and produces different symptoms depending on where in the body it occurs. An allergic reaction occurs immediately after ingestion or exposure to the substance, unlike a hypersensitivity reaction.
A food intolerance or hypersensitivity reaction is often about a stomach/intestinal reaction. The body also produces antibodies here, but these are called IgG antibodies. The symptoms usually take several hours to sometimes several days before they appear and can be mild and diffuse but still very bothersome. Since it takes longer for the symptoms to appear, it is often more difficult to discover for yourself what you are intolerant to, especially if you react to several different things.
Both allergies and food intolerances are measured in blood.
The sampling is performed by experienced staff at one of our clinics in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Test results and (including any travel certificate) are sent digitally via e-mail.
