Your overall energy, concentration, focus and memory are affected by your levels of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12, cobalamin, is needed, among other things, for the cells' metabolism and for the formation of blood cells. Too little vitamin B12 can cause anemia, B12 is also necessary for the functioning of the nervous system.
This is how it works: The test is a blood test performed by capillary sampling, finger prick.
Sample response: You normally have a response within 15 working days after our lab receives your sample. The test answer is sent digitally to your e-mail. Together with your test answer, you will receive a report in English about your values.
The body needs vitamin B12, cobalamin, to be able to form red blood cells, if you have too little vitamin B12 you can get anaemia. The oxygen from the breathing air is transported via the red blood cells, this is needed for blood formation, production of energy and our metabolism.
You get vitamin B12 through food from the animal kingdom, mainly through meat and dairy products. If you eat a strict vegan diet and completely exclude dairy products such as milk, yogurt and cheese, you may need to add extra vitamin B12 to be at a good level.
A lack of vitamin B12 in combination with a lack of ferritin affects your energy as it means that the benefits of a good diet are hidden at values that are too low.
