Symptoms of gluten intolerance are e.g. diarrhea, fatigue and abdominal pain. There are several different tests to measure gluten intolerance today, including IgA antibodies to transglutaminase. Why we chose IgG antibodies to transglutaminase is because it can reveal a sensitivity that not only covers the absolute cases of celiac disease, but those that are so-called gluten sensitive but do not necessarily result in the traditional tests. This means that a person can test negative for an IgA transglutaminase test, but still get a rash on IgG transglutaminase.
Here's how it works: The test is performed by our staff at the reception and takes place through capillary sampling (stick in the finger) where we take out a couple of blood drops.
Test answer: You normally have an answer within 15 working days after our lab received your test. The test answer is sent digitally to your e-mail. Together with your test answer, you will receive a detailed report in English about your values.
The sampling is performed by experienced staff at one of our clinics in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Test results and (including any travel certificate) are sent digitally via e-mail.
We will always send you the test result within the same day.
Simple, safe and smooth sampling.
The sample is sent for analysis.

If you are suspected of any gluten hypersensitivity, it may be a good idea to test yourself to find out if you need to exclude gluten or not. It is important to know that there is a difference between the gluten intolerance test, the food intolerance test and the allergy test when you e.g. may get a rash on wheat when you do the allergy or food intolerance test but be told that you are not gluten sensitive when you do the gluten intolerance test. If you get the answer that you are not gluten intolerant, you can thus still be sensitive to wheat, as there are different types of diseases and reactions and different things in wheat you react to. Then you can do the food intolerance and / or allergy test.
For those who are gluten intolerant, it is enough to eat gluten-free, but if you are sensitive to wheat, you should exclude all products that contain wheat. Gluten-free products may contain parts of wheat that a gluten intolerant person can tolerate, but a wheat allergy sufferer or one who is hypersensitive to wheat cannot tolerate. The easiest way to know what suits you is to try, so that you can eat exactly the diet that suits you.
To find out if you are gluten intolerant, there are several different tests, you can measure antibodies against IgG and IgA against transglutaminase.
