Through a few drops of blood from a capillary blood sample (prick-in-the-finger), an advanced analysis is carried out. With the help of the latest technology, your antibodies are analyzed for the covid variants Omikron and Wuhan. The data is compiled into a so-called immunity profile, which gives you a deeper insight into your immune system for covid-19.
Antibodies play an essential role in the immune system because they protect your body against unknown invaders, such as the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Depending on several factors such as the concentration of antibodies, their effectiveness and quality, your immunity is affected. In accordance with the Public Health Authority, anyone who has tested positive for antibodies should probably have protection for up to six months.
This is how it works: Book an appointment for sampling at our reception in Stockholm. On arrival you need to show valid identification and pay for the test. Sampling is then carried out. The visit normally takes about 10 minutes.

Several questions about our protection against covid-19 are unanswered and we may not be able to get answers to all of them. But through this specific immunity profile for covid-19, you can get a deeper insight into your immune system and specifically your antibodies against covid-19.
Why should I do an immunity profile
The test has been developed for you who want to get a more detailed indication of how effective your antibodies are in a situation where you could possibly be exposed to SARS-CoV-2. The immunity profile includes the following test results for the variants Omikron and Wuhan.

Total immune response
Value for identifying one or more substances, eg antibodies and or serum proteins, binds quickly to the virus and makes it difficult for it to spread further in the body.
Antibody quality
This value tells how long antibodies block the virus, i.e. prevents it from spreading.
IgG antibody concentration
This value shows the concentration of IgG antibodies and is what common antibody tests refer to. IgG antibodies are what a vaccine normally aims to create because the body has an ability to retain them for a long time. It gives a good picture of your protection for at least the next month.
Total specific immune response
This value gives a good picture of how the body can prevent spread at the moment (1 week) but does not say much about how it looks in the future. One or more substances, eg antibodies (IgA, IgM or IgG) bind strongly to the virus and make it difficult for it to spread further in the body.
What can I expect from the test answer?
The immunity profile can demonstrate whether you have developed antibodies against the new coronavirus, either through vaccination or if you have had the disease covid-19. Antibodies usually develop after 2–3 weeks after infection. The test is therefore not suitable for diagnosing an acute infection.

The sampling is performed by experienced staff at one of our clinics in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Test results and (including any travel certificate) are sent digitally via e-mail.

Specification - Antibody test
The test result is positive (POS) if the IMA value is above 15. In this case, the person has developed antibodies against SARS-Cov-2 and the sample is considered reactive. Based on scientific literature, results of around 50 BAU/ml are considered low positive, and high positive are considered at above 200-250 BAU/ml.
