What is a certificate of recovery?

Certificate of recovery that you have been ill with covid-19. This can only be issued if you have been tested by health care professionals or other qualified test staff at, for example, a health center or a hospital under the auspices of the region. Keep in mind that self-sampling and self-tests do not apply to recovery certificates, according to the EU regulation. Staff must physically perform the test on you.

How do I get a Recovery Certificate?

You can apply for documentation of recovery by entering your patient ID from your positive PCR-test via the function further down on this page. We can issue the recovery certificate earliest eleven days after your positive PCR test. The recovery certificate is sent out via the swedish e-health authority (e-hälsomyndigheten), the process can take up to 3 days.

Conditions for certificate of recovery

  • You must have tested positive for covid-19.
  • The sampling must be carried out by trained medical staff at, for example, a health center or a hospital under the auspices of the region. The staff must physically perform the test on you. The test must be a PCR test. Also note that antibody tests or antigens are not valid according to the EU regulation.
  • It must have been at least 11 days since your first positive test result. The proof must not be more than 180 days old from the day of the first positive test result. The validity period is thus a maximum of six months from the test result.
  • You must be 16 years of age and have a Swedish social security number and a population registration address in Sweden. For children under the age of 16, the guardian must request and receive the recovery certificate on behalf of the child.
