Phadiatop IgE is a screening test for respiratory allergies based on a venous blood sample. The test analyzes the presence of IgE antibodies to a mixture of the most common airborne allergens – such as pollen, fur animals, mites and mold. It is particularly suitable for those who suspect that you are allergic, but do not know exactly what. The test also serves as a first step before further investigation with more specific allergy tests.
Allergy Screening for the most common airborne allergens
Phadiatop contains a mixture of common respiratory allergens. The test is designed to detect IgE-mediated allergy to one or more of these, without specifying exactly which allergen is causing the reaction.
The following allergens are included in the screening
- Birch pollen
- Timothy pollen (grass pollen)
- Grey bee pollen
- House dust mites (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus)
- Cat
- Dog
- Horse
- Mold (e.g. Cladosporium herbarum)
- Plantago
- Olive pollen
Interpretation of test results for Phadiatop
The result is reported as positive or negative. In the event of a positive outcome, an automatic analysis of the eight most common allergens is performed (birch, timothy, grey wood, mites, cat, dog, horse and mold). If all of these are negative, the overall result is interpreted as negative.
Free medical consultation in case of positive result
If your test result shows a positive result, we always offer a free follow-up with a licensed physician. You will receive professional help to understand what your result means in practice and what steps may be relevant going forward.
During the consultation, the doctor will review your symptoms, your health history and the results of the allergy screening. You will receive individually tailored recommendations for any further testing or prescriptions. If necessary, the doctor can write a prescription for relieving treatment, such as antihistamines or nasal spray, immediately after the conversation.
Our goal is for you to feel safe in getting help quickly, easily and with medical quality, without having to go to a physical health center. Everything happens digitally, securely and with full confidentiality.Who is the analysis recommended for?
Phadiatop IgE is suitable for those who want to do an initial check for respiratory allergies, especially if you experience symptoms such as:
- Runny nose or nasal congestion.
- Sneezing and itching in the nose or eyes.
- Asthma-like symptoms such as coughing or difficulty breathing.
- Skin reactions in the form of eczema or rashes.
If a specific allergy is suspected (e.g. only to cat or birch pollen), we instead recommend a targeted IgE test against the allergen in question, which provides a more detailed answer.
Response time for Phadiatop IgE
The response time varies between different laboratories, but you will usually receive your test result within 7 days.
Please note that an allergy test can never confirm or rule out allergy 100%. The analysis should be seen as a complement to your symptoms and any medical investigation.
