Highly sensitive CRP, C-reactive protein, measures the risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease, such as coronary artery disease and stroke. Highly sensitive CRP can also measure whether you have a low-grade (latent) inflammation that is caused by lifestyle habits.
This is how it works: The test is a blood test that is carried out at the selected sampling unit.
Sample response: You normally have a response within 6 banking days after taking the sample. The test answer is sent digitally to your e-mail. Together with your test results, you will receive a report in Swedish about your values and the doctor's comment.
Remember: Bring valid identification with you when taking the sample.
CRP stands for C-reactive protein, it can be measured in different ways. The most common method used in healthcare is CRP, which is often called rapid dip, which measures the dip to detect whether there is an ongoing infection or inflammation in the body of people with symptoms who then often have an elevated CRP value.
Highly sensitive CRP measures very low levels of CRP, C-reactive protein, and can give a value for whether you have an increased risk of developing a cardiovascular disease. Since high-sensitivity CRP is a very sensitive test, the value can be affected by, for example, an ongoing infection, it is therefore important that you feel healthy without the feeling of a possible ongoing infection, inflammation, injury or disease in the body when you take the test.
The sampling is performed by experienced staff at one of our clinics in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Test results and (including any travel certificate) are sent digitally via e-mail.
We will always send you the test result within the same day.
